Why It Makes Sense to Hire a Buyer’s Agent

Buying a brand-new home isn’t as simple of a process as many people think. Here’s why it’s important to have representation in a transaction like this.

Have you ever walked into a model home and been greeted by a representative? You may not be aware, but that person represents the home builder. I have a lot of concerns with that representative also representing the homebuyer. It just can’t work. 

You have to offer your client fiduciary representation in real estate, and one party can’t provide that highest level of representation for both sides of the transaction.

You will not get a better deal by working with the builder’s agent. You will get a worse deal. The way to get a better deal is by hiring a company like ours to negotiate the contract on your behalf. When you work with us, our services are free because our commission is paid by the builder.

Builders generally write their own contracts, which leaves you vulnerable. You need to have someone review that contract with you to make sure you aren’t being taken advantage of by all of the legal language in the contract.

Buying a home is an emotional process, so even though you’re wowed by how beautiful a model home is, it’s important that you also recognize how important a buyer’s agent is to your success. I highly recommend that you hire an agent when you’re in the market to buy any home, but especially a new construction property.
